Having grown up on a family run farm in Holmesville; Ontario, Joel brings with him a passion for culinary which lead him to complete the Red Seal culinary apprenticeship with Whistler Blackcomb before joining the Fairmont family in Portobello. Joel has a great interest in food pairings and a love for the craft beverage scene which fits in with the ethos of Portobello and the farm to table style of food. In his spare time you will find Joel hitting the ski slopes in winter, the golf course in summer or out connecting with nature, camping around BC, taking full advantage of Whistler life.
